WSM&A uses three primary platforms for student management and communication: Opus1, Google Chat, and email.
Opus1 is used for organizing students, their instructors, classes, and payments. You can view the video tutorial below to familiarize yourself with setup and navigation of your Opus1 profile. Once signed up for classes, instructor-student communication is handled over Google Chat. Keeping to one method of communication, the use of Google Chat allows all class-focused correspondence to remain in one location for easy future reference. Videos, photos, and recordings can also be easily shared and viewed without file disruption from phone handlers. |

Where will I receive announcements about recitals, schedule changes, and school updates?
Calendar, procedure, and account management updates are sent by email. Be sure to check periodically so you don’t miss anything important. Lesson-specific notes and assignments come from teachers through Google Chat, and all schedule details are stored on Opus1.
For time-sensitive announcements, such as weather closures or performance information, an email will be sent out, as well as a Google Chat message to help ensure the update isn't missed.

Who do I contact with billing, absence, or scheduling questions?
If you need to reschedule a lesson, contact your instructor over Google Chat as soon as possible. The instructor will arrange the change over Opus1 so you can see the correction in the platform’s calendar.

What technology does my student need to participate and stay up to date?
A Gmail address is needed to receive access to the Google Chat groups. Beyond that, internet access with a computer or smart phone by the account manager and/or student will be sufficient to log into Opus1 and access the Google Chat. Google Chat is accessible on your web browser or as an app on your phone.
I need to change my contact information — how do I update my email or phone number?
For security and accuracy, Opus1 does not allow parents or students to change contact info directly. Please email [email protected] with the updated information and we’ll make the change for you to ensure you continue receiving important communication.

How do I update my payment information or change billing preferences?
